Be still. 🌻
Remember to be present as there's so much magic around you. | Whimsy Wonderings (2/9)
Hello my wonderful lovelies,
You know, some days require a bit more stillness and contemplation. A bit more care and gentleness for the heart and soul. I’m having one of these days myself today and I found myself feeling a bit overwhelmed with all I desire to do, but also sad for what I haven’t done for myself yet, feeling like I haven’t done enough.
In the past, being still would be the last thing on my list to do, but I’ve found a lot more peace when I began to allow myself to exist amongst all the feelings. So! While I planned to post part 2 about my thoughts on social media next, I needed this reminder to anchor back within again.
If you’re having one of those days as well, I hope these words will also help you to continue to find some wonder and magic in the present moment.
Sending you much love!

Hello, lovely reader! I’m TJ, an artist and storyteller and on here, you will find gentle reflections & musings on life, self love, healing and the magic of mundane wonders. Aka the stories that I collected as I pivoted my life around by choosing to follow my creative dreams. Make yourself cozy, have a read and I hope you the words will bring a dash of wonder and magic into your day.
Note to self:
Be still and listen with your heart.
Remember to be present as there's so much magic around you.
Maybe being present isn’t something you feel inclined to do when the world is in chaos and your inner world has a storm raging around. Being present can awfully feel like standing still and letting time waste away. You want to do something. Achieve something. When all those thoughts and feelings swirl inside of you, ask yourself whose race are you running? Is it for yourself or someone else?
Life is a journey, never a race. It will ebb and flow as you move through it. It’s made up of a gazillion glittering moments filled with an array of feelings and a multitude of memories, dreams and wishes. You’ve lived through so much and so much more is yet to come; allow the present moment to expand your mind, heart and soul. Allow yourself to just be and let it fill you with gratitude, with wonder and appreciation for all you have right now.
I hope you can remind yourself that slowing down is not the equivalent of missing out nor does it mean a life of boredom. Being present is about giving yourself permission to step outside the path most people find themselves on. It’s about allowing yourself to breathe a bit deeper, a bit more fully and slowly. It’s about realizing that you deserve it to fill your time with what you need the most. It’s about noticing all the wondrous things you have around you, right in this very moment.
Give yourself the space to experience it fully and remember, no matter where you find yourself on your journey, you are always enough.💕
If you made it to the end, I’m so grateful to have you here! Thank you so much for reading and spending some time with me.
